The Committee of The Wilkes-Barre Jazz Festival, Cavalcade of Jazz, established this fund as a means to support and promote its mission of hosting its annual premiere music event in Northeastern PA. This festival showcases downtown Wilkes-Barre, PA, has a long history in NEPA. It is recognized as the Home of America’s First Jazz Festival in 1951, according to the legendary jazz critic, Leonard Feather, and The Library of Congress.
