Schiavo, a revered attorney, educator, author, real estate investor, and philanthropist from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Through immersive storytelling and intimate interviews, this thoughtfully crafted film brings to life the lasting impact of Schiavo’s generosity. Today, The Luzerne Foundation team had the privilege of visiting the Friedman JCC / JCA of Northeastern PA as part of our Nonprofit Accelerator site visits.Known as "The Center for Everyone," the Friedman JCC fosters the well-being of our community through educational, recreational, cultural, and charitable programs that welcome people of all backgrounds. From early childhood education and youth programming to wellness initiatives, senior services, and food assistance, the JCC creates opportunities for connection, belonging, and lifelong learning.Thank you to the Friedman JCC team for welcoming our board members, interns, and staff and for sharing your vision for the future.
