PASCO

“PASCO” is a 10-minute, human interest short-form film that explores the profound legacy of Pasco L. Schiavo, a revered attorney, educator, author, real estate investor, and philanthropist from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Through immersive storytelling and intimate interviews, this thoughtfully crafted film brings to life the lasting impact of Schiavo’s generosity. Featuring voices from The Luzerne Foundation, the stewards of his estate, to community leaders and scholarship recipients benefiting from his charitable contributions, “PASCO” showcases how one man’s dedication to service continues to shape lives in real time. “PASCO” is more than a tribute—it is a testament to the power of giving and the enduring influence of a life spent in service to others. — Directed By: Jimmy T. 📣Congratulations to Leo “LD” Ventra, the Youth Advisory Committee’s 2025-2026 Fundraiser of the Year and recipient of a $2,000 scholarship towards furthering his education after high school.Leo just completed his junior year at Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences and his first year with the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).Leo demonstrated outstanding community engagement by coordinating a meeting with leadership at Citterio to share the mission of YAC and explain how funding would support local nonprofit organizations.Founded in Italy in 1878, Citterio is a family-owned company that opened its state-of-the-art prosciutto facility in Freeland, PA, in 2016. Today, it is the largest prosciutto production facility in the United States.
